Atlanta’s Very Own

We jump at the chance to experiment on a new beer using our 30bbl pilot system. That’s why it was our pleasure to welcome the guys from Taco Mac and Atlanta Beverage to brew this batch just for Atlanta Beer Week. The guys were here with us from start to end of the batch & they got their hands dirty just to bring something extra special back south with them.

This year’s Zero Mile Special Ale is an extra special one. On the back of one of our most popular new brews, Tangier, we’re proud to present this high-gravity Wheat Ale brewed with Grapefruit & Tangerine Peels. This special ale is brewed with 35% Wheat, 3 types of hops & coriander.

Juicy citrus and grapefruit aromas from the Centennial and Simcoe dry hop along with the addition of over 4lbs per barrel of frozen pink grapefruit and tangerine peels. Not overly bitter, this brew sits around 30 IBU and its nice citrus pith rounds out the bitterness. Residual sweetness helps accentuate the fruity character and masks the 7.7% ABV well. We’re proud of this heavy wheat fruit ale that can be enjoyed straight up or paired with a grapefruit or other citrus wheel. We’ll see you soon with this fresh brew, ATL.
